Just under two weeks ago we preinstalled Euro-Office in all Nextcloud plans. Today comes step two: Euro-Office as your own dedicated document server — for everyone who has outgrown the shared server, or who wants to connect Euro-Office to an entirely different platform.
What it is
The document server is the machine behind the browser office: it converts documents, syncs the edits of multiple users in real time and writes the result back. With the new Euro-Office Hosting, that machine is yours alone — dedicated per customer, at our Düsseldorf site, fully operated by us. You can connect Nextcloud (with us or elsewhere), Confluence, Mattermost or your own web app via REST API.
The part we like best ourselves: no license
Euro-Office is fully open source, backed by a European consortium around Nextcloud, IONOS, XWiki and OpenProject. There is no community edition with limits and no commercial full version — there is exactly one suite, for everyone. With office servers on a commercial license model, a yearly license quickly stacks on top of the hardware; here you pay for the server, nothing else. The price on the plan card is the whole price.
Four sizes, tiered by hardware:
- Solo — 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, for up to ~20 concurrent editors: €10/month
- Start — 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, up to ~50 editors: €19/month
- Pro — 6 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, up to ~100 editors: €29/month
- Power — 8 vCPU, 24 GB RAM, up to ~200 editors: €45/month
The editor numbers are hardware guidelines from our own operations, not license limits. If your team grows, you simply switch server sizes — no extra administration, because there’s no license that has to grow along.
And if you want OnlyOffice?
You still get it: OnlyOffice Hosting with a commercial license and official vendor support stays in the lineup. We run both products with the same care — which one fits you is something we’re happy to sort out in a ticket.
