Starting today, we offer the Nextcloud Server: a dedicated machine that’s yours alone. No shared server, no neighbors splitting CPU and RAM with you — the whole box belongs to you, and we still take care of maintenance, updates and backups.
This closes the gap above Nextcloud Hosting: the shared server is inexpensive and perfectly sufficient for most people. But at some point you may want guaranteed performance, admin access via SSH, or simply more headroom when many people work at once. That’s exactly what the server variant is for.
Two building blocks, nothing else
You assemble your server from two parts — no plan jungle, no negotiation:
- Performance class — determines CPU and RAM, and with them how many people can work smoothly at the same time.
- Storage package — as much space as your data actually needs.
Both combine freely in the configurator, with a live price. And you can upgrade either building block at any time later — no data migration.
Four performance classes
The hardware is deliberately sized with headroom. The classes handle far more than the sober user counts suggest — the numbers mean concurrently active people, not the total number of accounts (which is unlimited in every class):
- Class S — 4 cores, 16 GB RAM · 1–15 active users · €39/month For solo freelancers, families, small clubs.
- Class M — 6 cores, 24 GB RAM · 15–45 active users · €49/month (bestseller) For clubs, small teams, practices. Covers most setups.
- Class L — 6 cores / 12 threads, 32 GB RAM · 45–120 active users · €65/month For mid-sized businesses, larger clubs, educational institutions.
- Class XL — 8 cores, 48 GB RAM · 120–240+ active users · €85/month For larger organizations with heavy parallel load.
A club with 200 members, of whom typically eight are active at the same time, is perfectly served by Class S. When in doubt: take M and upgrade if needed.
Storage at a flat rate
Storage costs €8 per terabyte — flat. Whether you book 1 TB or 100 TB, it stays €8/TB. No hidden tiers, no teaser deals where the first terabyte is cheap and the rest is expensive. Eleven storage packages from 1 TB to 100 TB are available; if you need more, talk to us.
A common setup — Class M with 5 TB — comes to €89 per month. Pay yearly in advance and you get 10% off the entire server.
Euro-Office is already on it
As with Nextcloud Hosting, every Nextcloud Server ships with Euro-Office preinstalled — the sovereign European office suite. Edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents right in the browser, several people at once in real time if you like. No setup, no extra charge.
We take care of it
“Dedicated hardware” doesn’t mean “have fun doing it yourself” with us. Updates, backups, uptime — all of that runs in the background, just like on the shared server. You get full control over your Nextcloud, but not the full maintenance load. The hardware sits in Düsseldorf; the backups live separately from it in Nuremberg or Falkenstein.
