Update (August 20, 2026): The migration is complete — all customers now run on mein.xaweho.de, and the old system has been shut down. Details in Customer center migration complete.
Starting today, our new customer center runs at mein.xaweho.de. It’s live in parallel with the old system, and we’re migrating step by step — nobody has to move overnight unless they want to.
Who ends up where
A pragmatic split by date:
- Became a customer on or before June 26, 2026 → the old customer center (kunde.xaweho.de) stays your home for now.
- Became a customer on June 27, 2026 or later → the new customer center (mein.xaweho.de) is automatically yours.
If you’re an existing customer and want to switch to the new system right away: open a ticket and we’ll move you ahead of schedule.
What’s new
SEPA direct debit as a payment method. Long overdue — until now we could only offer direct debit through workarounds; it’s now a standard option in the order process.
More self-service. A number of things that used to need a ticket you now click yourself — download invoice PDFs, change your payment method, manage mailboxes, update your account details and so on. Less waiting, less friction.
Automated provisioning. More runs by itself behind the scenes: certain plans go live automatically within minutes of payment, instead of being activated by hand as before.
A modernized interface at the level you can expect from a customer portal in 2026 — works properly on a phone, no frills, no JavaScript theatrics.
Why we built it ourselves
Until now our customer center ran on WHMCS — a standard product many small hosters use, and one that served us solidly for a long time. But WHMCS is rigid. Every new product type, every unusual billing mechanic (per-watt power reimbursement for colocation, to name one example) required workarounds, plugins or custom hooks. Over time the gap between “how WHMCS thinks” and “how we work” grew — and the workaround stack grew with it.
We wrote the new customer center entirely ourselves, tailored precisely to our products, our processes and the way we write. That has two effects: it feels right because it’s made for us — and we can add new features quickly without waiting for a plugin marketplace.
What comes next
The migration of existing data runs step by step in the background. You won’t notice it — old logins, invoices and plans stay reachable. When your move is due, you’ll get an email beforehand with the details and everything you need to know.
To be clear: this is the foundation, not the final result. In the new system we can now build a number of things that never fit into the old one — the pipeline is full. The first bigger additions land over the next few weeks.
