We’ve expanded our colocation substantially: in ConnectaPark Düsseldorf we now run our own cage with 16 19-inch racks — a closed-off, separately secured area that we plan and fill entirely ourselves. That changes two things: there’s more space, and there are new prices.
New plans: a flat €19.90 per rack unit
We’ve simplified the per-unit plans: 1 to 5 U, every rack unit costs €19.90 including 19% German VAT (€16.72 net) — no tier logic, no asterisks. If you need more, take the half rack (22 U, €296.99) or go straight to the full rack (45 U, €653.99). Since colocation is typically used commercially, the product page now shows net prices everywhere as well.
More power per rack
The racks are 60 cm wide, sit in cold-aisle containment and hang on four independent 3.6 kW feeds each — all backed by UPS and diesel generators, usable as A+B redundancy or as individual feeds. If you skip the redundancy, you can draw up to 14.4 kW per rack, and the cooling handles it. That explicitly makes GPU servers welcome too — AI training, inference, rendering. (Mining still isn’t.)
Traffic now billed 95/5
On the network side we’re switching to what’s standard among professionals: every plan includes a 1 Gbit RJ45 port (second port or SFP+ on request), billed by the 95/5 method: bandwidth is measured in 5-minute intervals, the top 5% of samples are dropped, the rest counts — €2.38 including VAT (€2.00 net) per Mbit/s, measured inbound and outbound, billed at the end of the month. Short load spikes from backups or deployments cost you nothing.
